The first phase of any
video project is to complete the casting. When "Ain't
That Just Like A Woman" became a thought in the back
of my mind about 20 years ago I waited until the time was
right top begin the actual production.
In forming
Girly Goo Productions with Ken and our connection with camp
and comedic styles - all systems were go!
After meeting
Rita in 1999, I knew of his wonderful displays of entertainment.
His alluring camp style is as lively as a Bette Davis performance
in a spinster role. I also noticed that Chris B, his partner
was as talented in this arena.

I have always
proclaimed that "drag" is not an art but a reality!
In seeing photos and watching events where both put on the wigs
I was in awe of their flavor. This kept me thinking that the
roles were filled for, "Ain't That Just Like A Woman."

The
evening on October 31, 2003 a costume party was held
at Maryland Street - this was the birth of the video.
It took several minutes to convince both Rita and Chris
that the time was right. From then on the laughter and
frolic of filming this video was ongoing.
Completing
the shots actually took about 2 hours - the editing,
another hour. So in a total of 3 hours this classic
was born! Quite amazing.

After working
with both boys in the arena many projects are lined up - a follow
up is still in the works for Charo's "Dance A Little Bit
Closer". The high end disco number will be executed with
a sleek production and total camp to Charo's wonderful style.
Please look for it.
Other future
projects will include, Paul Anka's "Having My Baby",
a disco/Las Vegas number using, "Woman Ad-Lib" by
L.A.X. and "The Fruit Song" by Jeannie Reynolds. The
drama of the disco production is always a cure for a good camp
number!
Stay tuned!
